Stump Grinding & Multi-Stump Clearing

Best suited for larger properties and multi-stump jobs. We regularly clear 10 to 30+ stumps in a day, particularly when combined with forestry mulching.

Where We Fit In

We offer stump grinding and removal, with a focus on larger properties and multiple stump jobs.

For single stumps in tight residential areas, a dedicated stump grinder is often the better option. Better suited to confined spaces and small-scale work.

Where we are best suited is on properties with multiple stumps, regrowth, or larger areas that need clearing. If you have 10 stumps across a paddock, or stumps mixed in with blackberry and scrub, that is the kind of job we handle well.

Built for Larger Jobs

We regularly complete jobs with 10–30+ stumps in a day, particularly when stump removal is combined with forestry mulching.

Instead of tackling each stump individually, we can often clear stumps and surrounding vegetation in one pass — making it faster and more cost-effective for acreage and lifestyle blocks. The result is not just a single stump removed, but a whole area improved and made usable again.

Forestry Mulching + Stump Removal

Most of our stump work happens as part of broader land clearing. When you have stumps mixed in with blackberry, regrowth, tea tree or other vegetation, it makes sense to tackle it all together. The mulcher processes the surrounding scrub while grinding down the stumps, leaving the ground clear in a single pass.

This approach saves time, reduces cost, and delivers a cleaner result than coordinating separate contractors for stumps and vegetation.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do you do single stumps?

For a single stump in a tight residential garden, a dedicated stump grinder operator is usually the better fit — they can get into smaller spaces and it suits the scale of the job. Where we add real value is on properties with multiple stumps, or where stump removal is part of a broader clearing job.

How many stumps can you clear in a day?

It depends on stump size, spacing, and what else is around them. On open acreage with average-sized stumps, we regularly clear 10–30+ in a day. When combined with forestry mulching of surrounding vegetation, the whole job moves quickly because we are processing everything together.

Can stump grinding be combined with forestry mulching?

Yes — and this is where we get the best results. Instead of removing stumps as a separate job, we work through the area clearing vegetation and stumps together. The mulcher handles regrowth, scrub and woody material around each stump, which makes access easier and leaves the whole area clear in one visit.

What size stumps can your machine handle?

The Kubota SVL95-2 with Fecon Bull Hog mulcher head handles most stumps you'd find on rural acreage — up to medium-sized hardwood stumps. For very large old-growth stumps or stumps with extensive root systems, we'd assess on-site and let you know what's achievable before starting.

Do you work on steep or rough terrain?

Yes. The machine handles slopes and uneven ground well. Some very steep embankments may limit access, but for typical rural and lifestyle properties there is usually no issue. Send through photos and we can confirm before quoting.
